Adults (18 yrs and over) who have NEVER been issued a Texas State Drivers License, or have an expired DL can now enroll in an Adult Drivers Ed. Course with Prime Time Driving School before applying for their Learners Permit at DPS. This is now a MANDATORY course by State Law since March 1st. 2010 if you are between the ages of 18-24. This is a 6 hour course, in which a certificate will be issued after completion. Please click on "FOR YOUR PERMIT" button below to see a list of documents needed to obtain your permit with DPS. The "FORM DL/14B" button is the DPS application. You can print, fill out, and take with you to the DPS, but DO NOT sign or date until you are with a DPS representative. Below you will also find the "IMPACT TEXAS ADULT DRIVERS" button that will direct you to the ITAD website. Upon completion of ITAD videos, a certificate will be issued. This certificate is required in order for you to take the road test.
